FrontLine Design Cable trunking type DFK in aluminium offers a unique combination: it is possibly the most convenient trunking on the market to install, and it can be individually designed using standard components.
The trunking is in four parts: carrier, upper and lower contour profile and front.
It is the carrier which makes the trunking so convenient to install. The carrier is fully open, which makes it very easy to install cables and service content. Low-current cabling is placed in the easily accessible top compartment. Socket outlets and connections are installed in the middle compartment, which has a 80 mm front opening (F80TM). Heavy-current cables are run in the bottom compartment, well away from the low-current cables, to avoid interference.
The chosen contour profiles, which completely cover the carrier, are not fitted until the installation is complete. There is a choice of around 10 contour profiles. In addition, the profiles can be painted, anodised or coated with veneer or foil. Solid materials such as wood and stone may also be used.
It is also remarkably easy to install cables at a later time, especially on the low-current side. Simply remove the upper contour profile, run the new cable and feed it through the pre-punched holes in the carrier to the box in the middle compartment.
Electrical fields can be reduced to well below the recommended figures by earthing the trunking components.
